Miss Emily is balancing on my shoulder, and giving me a full purr with
no subvocalized growls or hisses. I think she just figured out that a
purr is a separate entity. Yay!

It's interesting that they all seem to vocalize differently. Marlo is
very quiet with an occasional little mewing sound, unless she's
carrying a waterbug and then it's that weird Urrr Urrr Urr sound. I've
told her that it's impolite to speak with your mouth full but she pays
no mind.

Scooter hardly talks at all, and Nipsy just whines. Everything is a
whine. Espy (rb) would talk almost nonstop, as would Nico (rb).

The outdoor cats almost never speak, except Baby will sometimes let
out a nice Meow when food is delivered.
