if anyone ever wondered about the quality of Google translate...

I loved it.

It even made me chuckle.

Good. It's not there now.

Chicken rude and unreasonable

I think the person who wrote the comments for each picture got it right -
it was probably meant to say "jerk chicken," LOL.

That's an interesting insight - but that means that they translated it
from
English to Chinese to English!?

Dunno. I tried google translation once into German for Nüle. Just to
say
I'd have an attempt. she fell about laughing. Lovely mother, who I've met
(who doesn't speak English) has also tried translation services from her
to
me. Incomprehensible.

My roommate when I was an undergraduate was a Fulbright Scholar from
Germany. I tried to say a sentence to her in German, and she broke out
laughing. I had said exactly the opposite of what I intended.

I do have a little bit of German, hello, goodbye, hens and hedgehogs and
ants and exits from the motorway, and bees, but I doubt that's very useful.
N says not to bother trying as she prefers to exercise her English on me.
Relief :-)

That makes me think that maybe the sign language translator at Nelson
Mandela's memorial service actually works for Google.

OMG, wasn't that *so* awful. I could have done better that that myself. I
can't do proper full on sign language but am good at the finger stuff and
can make myself understood with it. I would have been so ashamed to pretend
I was a sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela's funerals service if I
couldn't have done better than wave my arms in the air :-(
