Come on OEJ, Felix. Letz do sum fireworks!

The three kitties run around to the rear of the garage. Half a dozen
steel mortar tubes are buried in the ground. Boxes of mortar shells
await loading and firing, as do large rolls of firecrackers and roman
candles. The kitties drag shells over to the tubes and drop them into
place. Sammy lights a highway flare.

Ok, OEJ, you wanna go first? Take dis here flare, and use it light da
fuzzzes.

OEJ takes the flare, walks over to the nearest tube, and lights the
fuse. A few seconds later the shell fires. A couple of seconds later the
sky lights up with a brilliant multicolored flower, and a resounding
boom. OEJ lights the next couple of shells as well, and all the kitties
gathered for the party watch the exciting sights. A few kitties with
sensitive ears disappear into the house where the noise level is a lot
lower.

OEJ, speaking very loudly: WOW! THAT'S A LOT OF NOISE!

Sammy: Ok, OEJ, how about letting Felix do a couple?

OEJ: WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! FELIX, WHY DON'T YOU DO A COUPLE?

OEJ passes the flare off to Felix, who then lights off the next three
shells

Felix: Shouldn't we'z pull de canvas ober de boxes of shells we aren't
shooting yet? Jus so deys don't splode too early?

Sammy: Naw, we'z don need to do dat. Dat would slow us down. Let's
reload deze tubes and shoot summ more!

The kitties drag more shells over to the tubes and reload

Sammy: Let's do a few more!

Sammy picks up the flare and lights the next three shells. One of them
breaks low and sends ember into the boxes of shells. OEJ and Felix
notice and make a diplomatic retreat. Sammy lights a couple more shells
first, then notices the smouldering fuses in the boxes. As the shells
start to explode, Sammy dashes around the corner of the garage.

A slightly startled orange kitten with slightly smoldering fur
screeches to a halt on the patio. As he does, dozens of LARGE firwork
shells and firecracker continue to explode, throwing colorful stars
above the roof of the garage.

Sammy: Whoa, dat's quite a fireworks show! Boy, I wonder whoz is doing
dat? I fink I need somefing cold to drink. Got any water out here?
Fluffybutt, howz about you pour a bottle of dat water over my fur? It's
kind oif warm out here, izn't it? Boy, doze fireworks is noisy! Wno
wants to dance?
