Having just read that info, I know Ura never existed.

Hey, thanks!!! I bought into the "Ura" tale many years ago and
just continued to assume it was true. Should check out my "urban
myths" more often! Thanks for setting me straight.

I once taught brothers, Gurminder and Gurjinder. That's right, one
letter difference between their names.

Allegedly there was once a woman given the unfortunate moniker of
Ima--her last name was Hogg.

And a friend of mine once dated Mike Oxhard (say that one out loud)

My grandma knew a family in Germany called the ****helms, who became
the Helms immediately upon their immigration to Canada.

I used to work for the British Columbia Ministry of Health and I went
through a lot of personal cheques from people paying their premiums.
I ended up keeping a list of funny names, I had hundreds of them. But
the funniest one, the one I will always remember is a guy named Hans
Offertitz.

OK, that makes some of the dentists' names I'm running across on my
current assignment seem mild, but really! Dentists called: Ghoul,
Rench, Kevorkian...... ?
