Talisker Pippin, RB 8/24/2007

It is with sadness that I come to announce that Ms. Taisker Pippin, SOC,
VC, 1999 Beaverwate Soomo Champeen, purrcussionist extraordinaire, and
beloved winkwink of Pandora Pussycat of the JMCC, journied to the
Rainbow Bridge last week. She was 17, and for four years had endured a
variety of ailments (IBD/diffuse intestinal lymphoma, CRF, and most
recently hyperthyroidism) and their various treatments and medications.
While she has not been active in the Community for some time now
(something about her hoomin sekretary hogging the pooter), she and Pandy
always attended the Jellicle Ball, and some of the kitties here may
remember her with, she hoped, some affection. Her housemates Ceilidh
Flurrydance and Skye Silversong preceded her to the Bridge some years
ago, allowing Tally to at last be Furst and Onliest Kitty in the house,
which suited her just fine, fangu. Now she is reunited with all her
RPCC friends, and while hermom is very lonely at the moment, she
understands there is a pooter room at the Bridge and a mysterious noo
entry on YooToob (RB) has just appeared:

A brown tabby-an-wite bob-tailed gurl is crossing the fields near the
Rainbow Bridge, dragging a jazz drum set, a Highland Pipe Band snare
drum, and a beautifully painted Celtic bodhran. The haunting strains of
"Loch Lomond" fill the air as the Rainbow Bridge Chorale begins the
welcoming singalong. Hihihihi, efurrykitty! Hihihi, Ceilidh an Skye!
Bet yoo didn't expect to see me! Yoo've done a grate job wif da Chorale
up heer. Dat iz such a beeyoutiful song -- dat's da toon mymom used
when she sang me my song -- "Tally's a cutie, my Tally's a beauty, my
Tally has stripes alllll arrrrrrrrrround her. She's big and she's bold
and she has eyes of green an gold, and I loved her from the minnit that
I founnnnnnnd her."

But yoo know -- maybe da mewsic cud use a little livening up, yoo fink?

We are very, very sorry to hear this. We understand the heartache you
feel, and hope that it will heal soon.

Talisker Pippin is now happy and healthy and comfortable, and is
reunited with friends. I know that my own sisfur DeeDee will be at the
Bridge to meet her and welcome her, and TK and her friends will play
happily in the sunny, warm fields of the RB.

Awww... Sherry, I'm so sorry. She lived a good, long wonderful life,
and that is a testament to the great care you gave your girl... but I
know that that is of little comfort right now. Your heartache WILL
get better over time, but I'm sure you already know because of Ceilidh
and Skye, there's always going to be a hole in that heart of yours.

Dear Auntie Sherry,

We is so furry sorry to hear that Ms. Talisker is now at the Bridge. I
rememfur her, but Lilith Kitten-Mahoney and Cousin Rosco neffur gotted to
meet her. We are sure that Capt. Midnight, The Good Luck Black Cat, is on
the welcoming committee at the RB, and is very likely showing her his
favorite patches of dirt to roll in. May Bast bless the both of you.
