Distemper Warning for Dog Owners

We are having a major canine distemper outbreak locally. Maybe more than
locally as apparently no one tracks this. They are just starting to get a
handle on how widespread it is.

Veterinary hospitals are reporting having to put down one or more dogs a
day. That's every hospital every day. The shelters of course are even
worse.

I always taught my kids that a kitten simply will not survive its first year
without shots. Our weather is so warm there really is no dormant season for
various illness.

So remember, everybody gets shots on time. Boosters too.
