Vino's pretty normal in the litterbox, but it's once he's finished his
business that the fun begins. He loves to run over to his scratching
post and give it a really good scratch while wiggling his butt. Then
he zooms around the house a few times. Dennis and I have taken to
imitating him after we have had a very satisfying bathroom session.
Dennis coming out of the bathroom after having been in there for a
looooong time, then wiggling his butt and scratching the post has come
to mean "It's stinky in there so use the upstairs one if you have to"
;-)

Oooh, I'd love to see that! Can you take pictures next time? ;o) P

Mom's Petrus perches on the edge of the box so as not to get his tootsies
dirty. Then he scrapes allll the litter into a pyramid shape. Go figure.

My sister's cat Linus, who taught himself to use the hoomin toilet,
perches on the side of the litterbox whenever he uses that, just the
same way as he perches on the rim of the toilet bowl.

Hi folks!

Anyone else have cats that seem to get really happy and playful when
they use the litterbox?

Lynxie has always been playful in the litterbox; he jumps in with a
"pounce" motion as if he's playing, digs and makes "mrrrp!" trill
noises, looking at me, then does his business, covers it up, so on...
It's just odd that he just does it so enthusiastically!

I wish going to the bathroom could make me that happy!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, as I haven't posted in a while! Hope
everyone's doing well; I wish I could be a regular participant here, but
real life keeps me busy!

Nanki-Poo either gets playful or wants cuddles (usually the latter) when he
has just used the litterbox and is particularly stinky.

Hah! Good luck, he already thinks I "share" too much with the group
;-)

Aww, where are the pics? I've come to expect a lot of pics whenever you
post, Zorin. Though maybe this wasn't the best of subjects for
pictures... ;o) As for litterbox action, Miranda spends ages preparing
for the deed. She digs and digs and flings litter all around. She seems
to have fun. Frank doesn't fool around in the litterbox, but then he's a
venerable old cat of 17, and can't be expected to. He does get the
after-relief zoomies, though.

Isn't that a scream? Stinky does that too. He aims himself at the
top of the stairs, and just launches himself down like a rocket. It
looks like his paws never touch the floor.

Having Fenchurch as a permanent indoor resident (until her stitches are
out, at least) has meant that consumption of litter her has gone up
considerably - not least because she digs like she means business. I'm
surprised she's not appeared at Yowie's.

Welcome back, Zorin! Soncek has a covered litterbox, so I do not see exactly
what he does in there, but he jumps out really happy afterwards also.
Best wishes,
