Dan M had some very interesting things to say about
VERY LONG RANT - not cat related - sorry: DH and I have decided our best bet to get our lives underway again is to move. This is going to be SO much fun. 360 mile trip with a cat who *hates* car travel. I can truly sympathize! We're looking into doing the same thing. I've got leads on jobs in San Francisco and Seattle. I don't remember where you live, but you probably have me beat for length of move. You definitely win on pet complications [I only have the two, you have at least four that I think I remember. I'm foggy from Vicodin, so please forgive memory lapses]. -- "Don't mess with major appliances unless you know what you are doing (or unless your life insurance policy is up-to-date)." - John, RCFL |

"polonca12000" wrote I don't know if this will help you, JoJo, but I really do admire anyone who studies while working full-time. It really is extremely stressful, time and energy consuming and you need lots of will power to do it. This is all true, and why I quit working on my PhD degree. I just couldn't hack it with a full-time job and doing the research. -- Marina, Frank and Nikki Email marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi Pics at http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/frankiennikki |

... So my overall question(s) 1. Why in the hell am I doing this????? 2. What exactly is the degree in? I'm beginning to think insanity, although they tell me it's bachelors in business management 3. From insanity, exactly how far away is one from blithering idiot? (at least I'll be a blithering idiot with a degree and house full of cats). Hi the I remember team projects as well and the unbelievable sub-standard slacker work that other people would do, if any at all. I feel your pain. The only think that I can say is that it will eventually be over and it will stand you in good stead. I have a Bachelor of Music in Performance (french horn) and became a Chartered Accountant (CPA in the US) after that. As far as I could tell, business school, where I had to do two years of classes before I could article, was an exercise in pure hoop jumping. The whole point appeared to be simulating real life sucky imperfect work situations through terrible group work and lousy projects. Very different from my music degree, which was pure unadulturated hell from what a bunch of crazed musicians in the twilights of their careers can inflict on impressionable young musicians, but at least academic and interesting. It was so hard to go back to University after taking five years to get through my first degree but I had to do it for work. Hang in there!!!!!!!
