Obviously I am evil - again...

Well, it is howling up a storm outside. It is dark, raining, and very windy
with some nasty strong gusts.

There are three cats sat by the front door giving less than subtle hints they
want to go out. Obviously - at night and in this weather I won't. When I tell
them this, their mixture of expressions - pained, hurt, feline look of death,
all say I am the most evil human on the planet to be depriving them. Sigh...

This may not be much in the way of consolation, but it's quite hot in
Sydney at the moment and I switched off the cats' heating pad some
weeks ago. The silly little twits are still sleepng on it. Must be
something to do with the beautiful K-Mart baby banket it's wrapped in.

Yeah, wasn't it a stinker today! For the folks not in Melbourne or
Sydney - it was 36 Celcius today (that's somewhere just south of
100F). All the animals at our house adopted the "why are you trying
to cook me" stare. Mind you, it was nice and peaceful - neither our
dogs nor any of the neighbours' dogs could be bothered barking.

Dave, Kendra and I went for a swim in our dam this afternoon. Funny
beagle was *so* pleased with herself!

Last winter, My mother's cat Patches who goes out daily for a little
stroll, stood in front of the patio doors and asked to be let out. It
was snowing, but my mom opened the door for her, Patches stuck her
nose out, saw the snow and backed up back into the house. Mom closed
the door and Patches turned and swatted her with her paw!! as if to
say, how could you let it snow in my yard mommie????
