My cousin bucked this to me and, while not pertaining to cats
directly--although it may indicate how they think--it is something which a
group of bright people ought to find interesting. Accordingly:

This was amazing to me. Interesting to me also becuase I've spent practically
my whole life working iin print media. I learned long ago that an accomplished
typist doesn't type by letter, and sometimes even by word. There's a "muscle
memory" (for lack of the proper term) that just takes over and the brain sends
the fingers the entire phrase. It's a weird phenomenon. I could type 100+ wpm
back then, and it was often humorous some of the words that would just crop up
out of nowhere.

I notice in grading essays, the most important thing for me in understanding
content is punctuation!!

Karen

Definitely. And it surprises and dismays me at the young people who don't know
how to punctuate properly. Or, they end every sentence with an exclamation
point!! Like this!! Arrggh. Remember that song a few years ago....
I love you period.
Do you love me question mark
Please, please exclamation point
I wanna hold you in parentheses....
I always wondered if this was about a guy in love with his English teacher.

Oh. yes, I notice that in my work, too, when I edit theses and articles.
Have to add a lot of commas and stuff to make it readable.

Oh, yes. My niece sent this to me about a week ago. Since I'm
usually quite annoyed at badly-written material, I was surprised that
this can be read and understood without difficulty.

Amazing! I'm a speed reader (1400+ wpm), and this didn't even slow me
down. I'd like to see the research on this.

Me too, but I'm guessing its accurate. I read it thru and went back to
see what the problem was. Didn't even catch it on the first read thru.
