Default cat has some weird anal problem

Someone in here I hope has experience something similar to this. I have
taken my cat to the vet twice and they have found nothing.

My boy cat as disgusting as it sounds keeps squeezing his butt hole then
unsqueezing it repeatedly white his tail twitches really oddly. The skin on
his lower back and around the base of his tail is really poofed out. It
almost looked like its wet fur but its not. He does not rub his butt on the
floor or anything so its not anal glands needing to be expressed.

The vet looked at him for fleas and stuff and he is free of them. There is
no discharge from the area. And the vet just did a stool sample on him for
worms and such but he found no worms either. I am at a total loss. I am
worried that he might he worse and I feel bad because I wouldn't want these
symptoms happening to me but I just don't know what else to do. I am having
a baby any minute and I would like to find out what is wrong with him as I
have kissed him on the mouth forever and am worried what he has could be
contagious or something.

Please let me know if anyone else has heard of cats doing this.

P.S. there is very little that can be passed between cats and humans.
People get WAY too freaked out over having cats and babies. Millions of
babies come into kitty homes ever year. I would consider the possibility of
this being some strange contagious disease that affects the cats tail area
being less than nil. It is now proven that babies and children raised in
homes with cats are much less likely to get asthma or allergies, so kitty is
probably better for the child to be than not. Again there are VERY few
things that are contagious between cats and humans.

Rereading your post, I am wondering, Is he simulating spraying? Sometimes
when cats are happy they do this odd tale shake with the tail up in the air.
I'm just not sure *what* you are describing after a second look at the post.
Does he seem uncomfortable when doing this? Where is he when he does this?
What are the circumstances of when he started doing this? Is he indoor only
or indoor/outdoor?

It does sound like "tail shake". My cat does this when I am opening a
can of tuna. Suggest you not give mouth kisses -- just pretend you
do. MLB

That makes two of us.

He appears to be saying that the cat makes his starfish pucker repeatedly
for some reason.

Many times food allergies are "expressed" through the skin. Have you
tried different foods? I donĀ“t know what you feed him but you can try
a higher quality food with a lower chemical load, preferably canned.
