"Shaggin" dumped this in
on 08 May 2004:

My boy cat as disgusting as it sounds keeps squeezing his butt hole
then unsqueezing it repeatedly white his tail twitches really oddly.
The skin on his lower back and around the base of his tail is really
poofed out. It almost looked like its wet fur but its not.

Is it possible that he is licking the fur off of his tail? The tail is easy
to reach, and thinning fur on the tail past the base would make the base
appear to be fluffy. If he is itchy, that would also account for the
flexing of the "starfish".

In response to your odd comments. No one does anything sexual to my cats.
And no I'm not worried about catching STD's from my cat was just worried
about worms or something since I'm pregnant.

Someone in here I hope has experience something similar to this. I have
taken my cat to the vet twice and they have found nothing.

My boy cat as disgusting as it sounds keeps squeezing his butt hole then
unsqueezing it repeatedly white his tail twitches really oddly. The skin

on
his lower back and around the base of his tail is really poofed out. It
almost looked like its wet fur but its not. He does not rub his butt on

the
floor or anything so its not anal glands needing to be expressed.

The vet looked at him for fleas and stuff and he is free of them. There

is
no discharge from the area. And the vet just did a stool sample on him

for
worms and such but he found no worms either. I am at a total loss. I am
worried that he might he worse and I feel bad because I wouldn't want

these
symptoms happening to me but I just don't know what else to do. I am

having
a baby any minute and I would like to find out what is wrong with him as

I
have kissed him on the mouth forever and am worried what he has could be
contagious or something.

Please let me know if anyone else has heard of cats doing this.

Hi Shaggin, Has someone you love been shaggin your cat analy?
Buggering cats is illegal and can cause severe trauma to the cat.
Shame on you for letting them do that!

You are worried about catching cat herpes maybe? Or worried the cat
molester gave your cat some other funky STD.
