I think the consensus was that while your offer is very generous,
sometimes kitties feel a need to start a candle themselves. So for the
emotional health of the Community, perhaps it would be better for you to
serve as the official repository of the candle information - that is, if
a kitty feels a strong need to light a candle for a friend, they will
probably ask here for directions on where to find the site. I know that I
don't keep the candle site information to hand; if you would do so, you
could provide very important help to them.

And of course, there's nothing to stop you from starting candles either!
I think the Community just feels the need for other kitties to have the
ability to do so as well.

And I forgot to mention this before, but thank you for lighting the
candles for Tabitha's safe return. Paw and Meowmie are now convinced that
she must have snuck out of the house, so they are setting a kitty trap in
the garage tonight. Any purrs you can spare for Tabitha to go itno the
trap quickly would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. Since the day that Fluffybutt went missing Meowmie and Paw have both
been looking outside as well as inside. And they have have been leaving a
cardboard box lined with crumpled newspapers and one of Paw's t-shirts in
the garage, along with a dish of dry food that they've been keeping full.
For the last few days the food dish has been empty every morning, so
they're figuring it's most likely Tabitha. They leave the big garage door
(a roll-down door) up about 9 inches, and leave the human door that opens
into the back yard propped open.

The trap that Meowmie's co-worker brought in turned out to be way too
small. Paw is driving in to Des Moines this afternoon to buy a trap of
the appropriate size. He is very hopeful that they will be able to trap
Tabitha tonight.

Paw found a place in town that sold appropriately sized traps. He picked
up a trap over his lunch hour and set it in the garage. We all realize
it's unlikely that any kitty will come by before late tonight, but he
wanted to have it set this afternoon just in case.

So we're all purring that Tabitha will get hungry and walk in to the trap
very soon.

I will pass that on to Paw. I believe he baited it with tuna and
mackerel, but I'll double check when he gets home.
