Sneakers has arrived!
Little sneakers, our 4-6 month old kitten, unexpectedly was able to be picked
up last night! This is the tale (or is that tail?): It started with leaving work early, to run an errand before heading over to pick him up. The Parma Animal Shelter can only take money when the Warden is there, and he was coming in after 6PM. So, at 4:15, I'm at my car...to discover it has a dead battery. Sigh. By 5:30, AAA and a hundred bucks had a new battery in my car, and I was off to the shelter. Sneakers made pathetic cries on the way home. "Let me out of this box." "I didn't do it." He pawed at the box, looking for a way out. Once home, we put him in the spare room and opened the box. Out he came to explore, play with toys, check out the litter box, fish toy out of litter box, etc. We managed to pick him up, which triggered the purr switch. After pettings, it was more play. After an hour or so, we decided to let Velcro meet him. Velcro's reaction was: "Oh, a kitten, that's nice, how are you, OH! KITTEN FOOD! chomp, chomp." Velcro and Sneakers did co-play a bit. After another half an hour, we ended up opening the door and letting Sneakers out. Everything was going so well that we let him loose during the night. Pixel and Thunder aren't sure, but are curious. Cloudy and Misty hiss at him. Shadow is curious, but hisses if he comes to close. And Velcro is playing with him. So, it's been a REALLY good introduction. I'll try to get pictures this weekend. We're going to have FUN. Kalynnda |

Sounds like all went really well (hopefully, to compensate for that car
