Default "Send that thing to Mikey...

he's sick and needs a get well gift, send it to him!" is what Hobbes has
told us.

"But you don't like it, what makes you think Mikey will want it?" we
ask.

"Mikey's tough he can subdue it, send it to Mikey!" insisted Hobbes.

So Krista, keep an eye on your mailbox, Hobbes is sending Mikey a get
well gift. Well, he's basically getting it OUT OF OUR HOUSE, NEOWWWW,
PLEASE!

Last weekend was the first anniversary of the day Lacey bit me and put
me in the hospital. I consider it the day she got into my blood and
adopted me. Since I needed to get some pet food I decided to buy a
couple of toys to celebrate. I ended up in PetCo which I've never
shopped in before and was looking at the toys when I spied it. I thought
it would be the perfect toy for my pride.

Its called "A Thing In A Bag". It is basically a brown fabric/paper
type bag the size of a lunch bag, that has a battery powered vibrating
box inside. You install a battery, close the bag and turn on the
vibrator and the bag vibrates a few seconds then stops and will cycle on
and off for 3 minutes.

I have to admit we laughed till our sides hurt watching Lacey with it.
It would quit vibrating and she would sneak up on it to sniff it and it
would begin vibrating again and she'd jump 3 feet up and back. She does
this whenever it is turned on, but she won't pounce on it.
Unfortunately, it has terrified Hobbes. I never expected that reaction
from him. He watched it for about one minute and then turned and ran. He
wouldn't come back into the family room for the rest of the evening.
Whenever we bring it out he runs. It doesn't even have to be turned on.
The sight of that bag terrifies him.

So we thought we'd send it to Mikey as a get well gift. We figure surely
he'll find a way to subdue the hidden monster.

Purrrs and healing meditations on the way for Mikey as well.

Mikey says Thank You Very Much for thinking of him, Hobbes, and asked
me to assure you that he will dispose of the evil monster. At least
so far today, Mike has seemed to feel better, so we've got our fingers
crossed that the Tapazole is starting to take effect and we're through
the worst of it. (I probably shouldn't openly write any such thing
just yet - maybe I won't jinx it.)

Thank you for the get-well wishes, gift, and purrs - we will be
watching our mailbox and will report on the destruction of the monster
in due course!

It's been a year already since Lacey put you in the hospital?? Time
sure flies!

I bet I know how the toy was invented. One day, a woman, let's call
her J., went to the adult toy store to buy a vibrator. She was a bit
embarrassed about her purchase, so she had the item placed in a plain
paper bag. On the bus ride home, the bag started vibrating. Everyone
stared. At that moment, J. said, "This gives me a great idea for a
cat toy!"
