This drives my "cool stuff meter" to 11.
OMFG NOMEN!!!!!! Dear gawds I don't even think I should tell this to Ben, I
think he'd hunt you down and steal your ticket (singular - forget about me! ;) I *KNOW* you're walking on cloud nine- what's the air like up there? Congrats, my friend, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. -- Hugs, CatNipped See all our masters at: http://www.PossiblePlaces.com/CatNipped See the RPCA FAQ site, by Mark Edwards, at: http://www.professional-geek.com/rpcablog/ "Nomen Nescio" wrote in message ... -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I know I've discussed my fondness for the music of "Blackmore's Night" with a few people, here. For those unfamiliar with the music, it's a folk, rock, medieval, renaissance blend and some of the best music you've probably never heard. I first heard Ritchie Blackmore play when I was 12 yo staying up late with some friends watching a local TV show that played clips from concerts by various bands. I saw a band I'd never heard of (Deep Purple) and saw a guy playing guitar (Ritchie) and said to myself, then and there, "I want to play guitar....and I want to play it like THAT!". Two weeks later, I had a cheap Stratocaster knock off and a 20 watt noname amp. That was almost 40 years ago and I've enjoyed playing guitar ever since. I never quite managed to "play it like THAT!", though. For decades, I always hoped I'd someday get a chance to thank Ritchie for inspiring me to pick up a guitar. Every year, Ritchie and his lovely wife, Candice Night, host a medieval themed holiday party at an undisclosed location, invitation only, for 50 to 60 people. There's dinner, drink, and Ritchie & Candice (usually with the rest of Blackmore's Night) perform for their guests. Medieval style dress is required. This year, my wife and I will be 2 of those guests. It's odd how several things in my life, lately, are starting to go full circle. With that in mind, here's "The Circle" by Blackmore's Night http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dJ-LYN6dqM My wife has informed me that if I wear the "tights", I'll never have to prove my courage to her, in any way, ever again. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: N/A iQCVAwUBTPOAqZMoscYxZNI5AQEiKgP/XqQwVNBoHIBmYM1njxZC6FcsgHXgyuMy H0S/F5lChjH3ew9FlmqCVABtX1BbHe0YpWdzm3LnQC+Gz4t3V4Xn8f/eFgL4MpDv 1UAWtQAFZsfWw2neJxD28/tBk/gUP645kNenYgjBC0FEG9ot9jW/Hy0HRvhDKdim CbMgtdpzgUc= =fDI/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

I didn't see the original message, but I have some idea how you feel. I am
a big fan of John Williamson, an Australian country/folk/humorous singer. On my trip from California to Australia this September, I was able to attend a concert of John's. It was also very exclusive and included dinner and the chance to meet John and have my photo taken with him. I also got one with both him and the woman he refers to as "my beloved Meg", who is an absolute sweetheart. I've been asked several times if that was the highlight of my trip to Oz. Other than spending time with friends I've met on previous trips, it really was. Enjoy! (Not that you need to be told that) -- Joy A miracle is something that is impossible until it happens. - from "Kids Rite the Darndest Things" by Art Linkletter "CatNipped" wrote in message ...
