Mary Stewart suspense novels. I still get spell checked on grey, colour, the words you mentioned and a few more. I'd like to be able to blame Mary Stewart, though I suspect that it's the natural anglophile in me coming out. Pam S. who's spell checquer is going to go ballistic on this post. Shouldn't that be spell checker? ;-) -- Adrian A House Is Not A Home, Without A Cat. |

OK, you Brits, is it Checker or checquer? Pam S. who's curious I'm not a Brit, but I'll butt in anyway... When you check the spelling (or anything else, for that matter) it's with a "ck", but when you pay using a cheque, it's with a "qu". They're both pronounced in the same way, only spelled differently. Just like where / wear / were / ware, that mean different things when spelled differently. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. -- * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Christine in Vantaa, Finland (Europe) Email: christal63(at)yahoo(dot)com Photos: http://photos.yahoo.com/christal63 |
