The poppies were for National Sorry Day - at least that's what I was told from someone who was at the taping in Sydney - an australian observance.

Hmmmm.... didn't think there was an *annual* national observance for Sorry
day (and if so, would have figured it was be on the 13th of February when
the formal Sorry was said) but hey, it could well have been, its certainly
not hte first time I've been totally clueless about stuff like that. It
comes from not watching much TV and only rarely reading the papers.
