NOT a good way to wake up
Greetings...
At about 6:05 AM I awake to the death cries of a kitty. My immediate reaction is to do a furry head count. 1. Beauregard on my left...OK. 2. Alacrity on my right... OK. Oh my gawd, it must be Puddy in her room. Dash out of bed, dislodging 2 cats. Death cries still occuring. I can only imagine she's gotten her paw stuck in something. I can feel my heart pounding in my chest. Throw open to door to the spare bedroom to find: 3. Puddy staring up at me wondering what the hell is making that god awful noise. Heart still pounding in my chest, deep breaths, cats now begging for their breakfast. Turned out to be a neighborhood tom yowling his fool head off. I never figured out what was causing him such distress, but he looked fine and was fussing at me from the neighbor's fence when I left for work this morning -VERY- early. lal |

This is why I cannot understand how anyone can keep breeding cats at home.
I'm glad they do. I love my Siamese. But really, it would drive me out of my mind. Jo "LAL" wrote in message ... Greetings... At about 6:05 AM I awake to the death cries of a kitty. When I was a graduate student, I left my bedroom window open one cool night. About 2 AM, I was awakened by an unearthly scream from outside. I sat up in bed with my heart racing. A few seconds later, the scream came again. This time I recognized it as feline. I went outside and persuaded the two tomcats (neither of them mine; I didn't have a pet at the time) to go have their argument somewhere else. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 7.0.3 for non-commercial use http://www.pgp.com iQA/AwUBQGH2HzMYPge5L34aEQIJUQCgp3cOqYbLJYjIg2eng791FM Q2wKAAn02y iLVy9JOezzI46g1vg6rHoCcw =t7nN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- John F. That may be what set him off, one of the harbingers of spring, along with dead animals all over the roads, and the beginnings of troll season. Pam S. |
