Britta, that merited a BW! I actually had a mouthful of tea when I read that, and almost spewed it. Oberon would be the Uber Calico with all the different colors he could get! I could certainly contribute a lot of fur - I've been saving the fur from brushing Smudge for a few years, and now have a quart-sized plastic bag filled with the stuff. (You may ask, why am I doing this? I have this weird idea of getting the stuff cleaned, carded and spun, so I can "make" something with it. Ahem... OK, it's weird, I admit it.) Joyce |

I used to know someone who did spin cat fur into yarn for weaving. Looked like the ultimate angora fabric when it was done. Ooooo! That sounds wonderful. But how many years did it take to amass enough fur to produce enough yarn to actually *weave* anything?? (Or, how many cats did this person have, LOL?) Joyce |

At this time of year, I feel the cats are shedding so much you could knit one new cat per day. ;o) There have been stories in the newspaper about a woman who knits stuff from dog and cat hair here in Finland. There's another one who makes clothes from fish skin. I bet the cats would love a person wearing those. ;o) -- Marina, Frank and Nikki Email marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi Pics at http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/frankiennikki |

She has a very fancy boutique and a vest made from salmon skin is several thousand dollars. John F. Eldredge had some very interesting
things to say about Oberon - UPDATE: Last time I saw a picture of William Shatner, he appeared to have a Tribble sitting on top of his head. That toupee is pretty bad, isn't it? [I think a tribble is cuter, though.] :-) BTW, I'm occasionally seeing a very amusing Priceline commercial in which Shatner is being let go, and guess who's replacing him? .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Leonard Nimoy. :-) -- "Don't mess with major appliances unless you know what you are doing (or unless your life insurance policy is up-to-date)." - John, RCFL |

Yeah, I see that commercial all the time.....and the replacement doesn't
look so good, either. But the cam doesn't zoom in on *his* face. The two of them must be hard up for $. "Seanette Blaylock" wrote in message ... : John F.
