Just how stupid are you? Civet cats aren't "cats." They are not

That reminds me of the uproar about exterminating Prairie Dogs.
If they had a more correct name like Prairie Rats, there would
never have been the uproar.

LOL! Prairie gophers.

Speaking of which; a popular activity for colordo rednecks is to play target
practice with the prairie rats. Go to an infested field where there's no city
ordinance against discharging firearms...

When driving cross country in '84, I once let kitty play with some prarie
rats. It was the highlight of his trip. I've thought of taking mongo, a
loudmouthed siamese *******, to an nearby infested field to play with them, but
I'm not sure how I'd ever be able to get him to want to leave.

He's a troll. Just ignore him.

A really stupid one, too.

I don't know. Unlike this one, some really stupid trolls are at least funny.
I'd say he might aspire to be a really stupid troll, but he's not there yet.

Yuk, this reminds me of the beginning of the thread where that nimrod Christine
or whatever her name was discussed how she was going to kill the mice in her
house. Personally, I think prairie dogs are cute and I wouldn't want to see
them needlessly killed or taunted or tortured.

They're vermon. The best solution is simply not to create a situation where
they breed out of control. Call them dogs if you insist, but they're
rats.

A colleague of mine had a prairie dog as a pet. Apparently they're
quite affectionate little critters.

Your colleague isn't the first person to have a pet rat.
