Default Snow!!!

Finally. A lovely storm. Too bad it wasn't Sunday so I could have enjoyed it
at home. Still, I came home for lunch (I live within sight of work - though
today it wasn't too visible till you got close). I opened the deck door
halfway so Grant could smell the air. He LOVED sitting there letting the
wind blow on him and letting little bits of snow get on his face. Pearl on
the other hand felt a blast of cold air and wanted nothing more to do with
it. It's one of the first lunches I can remember where she retreated to the
arm of the couch and was totally silent while I was home. I don't think
Pearl likes winter! Tonight, Sugar finally noticed the big windows and went
over because she thought maybe the summer bugs had come back and were white.
There were patches of snow stuck to the outside and she would gently reach
up and paw at them. However, when they did not crawl, she quickly lost
interest. I'm bummed because I will probably not have a riding lesson this
weekend, but at least if there is snow, I feel compensated. It's when it's
perfectly clear and brown but too cold that I dislike it. The first snow is
always the prettiest.

I'm jealous! It's pretty cold here, but there's no snow, and it's soo dark
most of the day. LOL about Sugar's hunting and Pearl's retirement.

I'd love to get snow. It is so unbearably hot at thos time of the year I
deliberately stay at work longer (I have no air conditioning at home but do
at work)

I really wish we could get snow over here. The best we can do is ice.

Hee hee. My Lynxie would probably take a s**t if he saw snow! Here in
Miami snow is something that you just don't see. In fact, I've never
actually seen it in person in my entire life!

It must be adorable to watch a kitty try to walk in snow.. Their small
paws probably don't do a good job as snowshoes and they probably sink in
all the way. Hee. }

Yes it is. Two weather things that made feel awe: snow storms and
thunderstorms. I love the first of each.

They do, but if they're as fearless as my Nikki is, they just plow on
through. One weekend recently, we'd had a huge snow storm. I went out with
Nikki on a leash, and the snow came up to her tummy, but she didn't let that
slow her down at all.

Now if it had been Frank, we would have had the typical
one-step-shake-paw-second-step-shake-paw routine.
