Default Snoring duet

About two AM nature called, and as I sat in the bathroom I heard two sounds
that broke me up. Little gray Emily in the hall was lying on her cushion
snoring up a storm. And what was even funnier was that she was as loud as a
family member who was snoring in the bedroom. It was a hilarious duet!

Do cats often snore? Mine seem to occasionally, but usually they're quiet
sleepers.

Persia snores occasionally. It usually happens when she's got a pawy
tucked under her chin. I guess it sort of constricts the vocal cords.
It's cute, not loud but noticeable. When she's curled into my side at
night she is in a different position and sleeps very quietly.

Roxy does. Her nose is often stuffed up so she might be breathing through
only one nostril, and that makes a noise, one with each breath, so very
rhythmic. It's really cute.

Melisande snores so loudly I can easily locate whatever corner she has
chosen for her nap! (Sometimes her snore even wakens me when she sleeps
on me at night.) She's nearly sixteen, and I suspect Arizona's desert
climate gives her breathing problems, just as it does me.

Can cats get sleep apnea?

And to think that people who had breathing problems used to go to
Arizona *for* the dry climate!

I don't know about that, but I'd hate to try to make a cat wear a C-pap
mask

I was thinking the same thing.

Kitty Farmcat only snored when she got very old, Boyfie only snores very
occasionally when he is in a deep sleep.

I think that depends upon the nature of the problem - it's dry air that
irritates my chronic sinus trouble. (And apparently Melisande's too.)

Rhett snores very loud. He even sounds sometimes like he has sleep
apnea. I need to get him to the vet for his checkup, and I'm going to
mention that. He's just so hard to catch, it's like he reads my mind.
