. theremailer.net... My parents had to go out to some kind of meeting or what not, out to do things that parents do. I would have been left all alone if it hadn't been for my Tom cat and one of the neighbours sitting for me. The Tom cat looked just like a Scottish wild cat, wide faced, broad and muscular. The neighbour looked like the neighbour. The neighbour who happened to smoke a pipe, no less. Pipe smoke and Tom cats don't mix. We were all in the same room. The neighbour, sat on the settee, lit up. The cat went wild, he started running around the room (anteclockwise, if that makes any difference). Not on the floor, as you might expect a crazed cat to do, but around the walls way up to the ceiling. He didn't looked frightened at all. He was just running and the walls were covered with wallpaper, wood, wallpaper and curtains. None of which seemed to hinder him in any way. He would only stop when the pipe was put out. So, as I've only ever had the pleasure to know one adult male cat, I was wondering if this is peculiar to all Toms or to just one. I think it's an extraordinary feat any way I look at it. Miaow How old is your Tom cat? Always been a house cat? Intact male? It's extraordinary when cats do this. A monkey does this easily but then that's more in their nature. My female feral cat no longer bounces off the walls any more. I miss that springing from wall to wall. For a while, I recall some humans were doing wall bouncing and climbing, and it was quite amazing to see humans bouncing off various walls. There was even a school to teach this but I forget the web site which had pictures of people bouncing off walls. Just amazing really what people can do if they decide to regress. The missed opportunities of life. A chance to bounce off walls before each missed wall becomes a trip to the ER... |
