Sonya's nickname "speedy" has nothing to do with speed. It is short
for "speedbump" and has to do with her tendancy to lie on her back in
high traffic areas, such as the doorway into the kitchen.

What a sweetie! Ripley does that too, and seems most offended when
someone wants to go through the doorway.

That's a beautiful cat. And it's one of my favorite coat colors.

yikes. I'll have to consider that if I see stairs while looking for a
future place to live.

I have a speedbump at my house, weighs 18 pounds and orange and white. Gets
mighty offended when I want to step over him. Beautiful kitty.

Wow! Sonya sure has hypnotising tummy fur. I felt myself trying to get a
nomful even through the photos - and I bet the Venus Hand Trap gets sprung
each and every time.

Mmmmm, tummy fur......

This one kills me:

If I didn't already know that was a cat, I wouldn't be completely sure
what kind of animal it was.

But as the other photos show, she's a really pretty cat!
