With every post, CP changed the subject, portrayed his personal
opinions as absolute fact, and refused, repeatedly to answer my

direct
questions.

Haha! Dueling morons! Sorry, darling, but you ought to know better
than to try.

I probably should be offended at being called a moron, but I got

quite
a laugh out of that :-)

Actually, you shouldn't. You have a healthy sense of humor! Sometimes
I cannot resist what I think is a funny line, even when it sounds
meaner than I mean it. If that makes sense. (Oscar Wilde once said
that he loved one liners so much that he might "stab his best friend
in the back for the sake of writing an epigram on his tombstone." Of
course Oscar would not be Oscar if he did not exaggerate!)

There was no venom in it, just the point about not bothering with CP.
Mark Twain is the one who said something to the effect of "Never try
to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

In my defense, I am new enough to these groups
that I did not know the history of such attempts at reason.

Besides, I'm a slow learner, LOL. You also might have given one
classic definition of insanity..."Doing the same thing over and over
and over and expecting the outcome to be different."

Great definition of a relentless optimist, too. :-)

attacking
someone personally really help? All you will do is chase people away.

Step away from the crack pipe. Slowly, now, nice and smooth.

Now go dunk your head in a nice big tub of cold water, you nit.

I'm not but I also don't have time to personally attack others like she
does. Does she even have a job?

I felt like that about you when you turned my disagreement with you
about what some TV star said into me somehow being the guy's biggest fan
(that's the ONLY possible reason I would disagree with you, apparently,
not because you might be wrong),

No, no, no, Diane! Apparently *I'm* his biggest fan! And I was lucky
enough to get kf'ed over my fictional (or should I say CP's delusional)
liking for the guy :-D!

I am not trying to cause a flame war here but I thought I would post these
links for those who love cats but are tired of the personal wars now
invading this newsgroup. Here are a couple of forums where you can discuss
cats without all the flame wars

Cat Galaxy Forum- You can discuss cats there and it is moderated. The link
is http://groups.msn.com/CatGalaxy. The cat people are friendly and care
about cats. There is not only a message area to post to but also a chat room
where cats and cat lovers can meow to each other. You can also post pictures
of felines as well.

Cat Fancy Community- This one is friendly and has lots of great discussion
of cats. In fact it covers many of the same topics we have discussed here.
You can find this at: http://www.catfancy.com/anforum/. There is no chat
room though.

So for those who want to gather for some friendly discussions about cats
without all the wars then I'd check the forums out. Meow!

Silly little coward. You never could stand up to a fight..
