Default Pelham cat thief a specialist

I saw the story in a local paper. It goes on the say that in the winter he
will take socks from her owners laundry and carry them around the house.

Not a thief that steals cats, but a cat that is a thief:

Fair use excerpt:

By LESLIE KORNGOLD
THE JOURNAL NEWS
(Original publication: July 22, 2006)

PELHAM - Willy the cat steals gardening gloves.

He sneaks into back yards and has deposited more than two dozen on owner
Jennifer Pifer's front porch since spring.

"This all started about the time people began working in their gardens, I
guess March or April," Pifer said. "There was just more and more."
