Is this in any of their current catalogs? I have the 03/04 Hardware Catalog and didn't see it there. -mhd I think it was in the gardening catalogue, although I don't remember if it was in the most recent one. There's a golden retriever in the enclosure. It was reasonably priced--about $150 Canadian. Kind of ugly (made of metal fenching stuff), but I'd be able to move it from the back to the front yard, depending on what I'm doing (Kitty prefers the front yard, but if I'm in my back yard then she should be there, too :-)). Thanks, I'll order that catalog from their web site. www.leevalley.com -mhd |

Now if only she'd stop picking on Shadow! I posted a couple of pics of Shadow and Bonnie in the enclosure on alt.binaries.pictures.animals. Shamrock can be vaguely seen in the pic with Shadow but he's lounging. -- Cheryl |

Iain & Deb dumped this in
on 20 Apr 2004: That is an awesome enclosure, Cheryl. Maybe if I show it to my DH he'll think about building one! It was very easy to do, and not very expensive. I got the idea from a pic that Sherry posted a couple of years ago where her and her DH built an enclosure for their daughter's cats. Once I moved in here, and because the deck is so high off the ground with a sliding door underneath, it was a perfect spot to enclose. I aquired the sliding door panel with the pet door from someone doing some spring cleaning and getting rid of it for the cost of a donation to our local SPCA. There are many options for creating an opening in the house so they can go in and out at will (or when you allow them) such as a standard pet flap in a window. I've even seen people build tunnels from a window to the enclosure if they don't build the enclosure connected to the house. -- Cheryl |
