So, getting back to cats and Pepsi: Mine like anything sweet, including
soda. I was sure that was because they could tell when substances are

sweet-taste receptor.

Hodge likes a coffee cup that's had whipped cream in it but not so much
half-and-half or‹gack‹tea.

My Boots likes pink lemonade. Not sure if it's really the lemonade he's
after or whether it's anything in a glass. I had to start drinking my water
out of the plastic bottles to keep him out of my glass and that's when he
started stealing the dh's lemonade.

Is it usual for catnip to bring out more aggressive tendencies in some cats?

yes. Some get overstimulated quite easily and can sort of "freak out"
and become agressive. My Peewee is like that - will lick my hand, grab
it and attack like no tomorrow. Major OUCH! I have to kep him away
from Mimi or he will hurt her.

We have a rescue cat who has bitten a few volunteers with no provocation a
few times. He was 'high' on catnip when this happened and his foster mom
says he's a real gentleman normally. I'm thinking this might be a cat who
can't handle the his 'nip.

Yes, I would keep him away from people while on the 'nip, if he bites.
It can be some powerful stuff!

We're going to see how he is with no catnip and if there are no more biting
incidents will make sure his people are told about his 'nip problem when he
get adopted.
