A thousand Amens to that.
I am seriously considering the idea of contacting my congressional representatives to push for 9/11 as a day of remembrance and a legal holiday. And why not? It took the efforts of only one woman to get Mother's Day recognized. One letter to your congressmember represents the opinions of a hundred people, and the pen is mightier than the sword. Americans, bring forth your weapons and write! Blessed be, Baha Bob M wrote: jmcquown wrote: http://www.raycharles.com/godblessamerica.swf Jill (crying) -- I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off. Thanks Jill for posting that. For those in the U.S., please write your representatives and congressmen, folks. Can't cost more than a postage stamp (or email, which, last time I checked, didn't require a stamp heheh) Jill (who lost 295 colleages in that tragedy, 30 of whom she knew/worked with personally before they transferred to NYC. One man I still talk with regularly survived simply because he overslept that Tuesday morning.) It's a day of battle recreations, fairs, and parades. |
