Default shocks from mice? (OT)

I am losing my mind, or are there other people who sometimes feel electrical
hits in the hand from the computer's mouse.

Please, folks, don't be kind and say you have felt this if you have not. Be
honest. I need to know if it's time to call the guys in the white coats to
come and take me away to the funny farm.

I don't think that weird at all. It's an electrical object....something
is probably wrong somewhere and you *are* getting shocked.

Or maybe you've got a little nerve damage or something in your hand. I
think both explanations are quite possible.

This is not an unusual problem, and there are even grounded mouse pads that
are sold to eliminate static electricity. You can find many on the
Internet. Here is one example:

No, you shouldn't be sent to the funny farm. I, on the other hand, may be,
as I read the title of your posts and had a mental vision of small rodents
armed with cattle prods ;-)
