Cheryl wrote: Curious how you must be getting so much **** on Usenet that you have to have alias's for your cats. That dear, does speak volumes about you. I'm finished replying to you now, you're just too angry and unbalanced for me to waste anymore time reading. Unbalanced is an understatement. I don't believe for a minute that Mary has posted since '96 , especially since she doesn't even know who SLK is. Her claim is bull****, which is typical of her, and the fact that when put on the spot she couldn't even come up with a username she posted with in the past speaks volumes. She also has a history of using not one, not two, but *three* different personalities to defend/talk to herself. She got busted in the genealogy group awhile back for two of them: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...%40comcast.net She also slipped up and didn't cover her tracks which gave her away on the third addy, which was . Somebody caught that one too and commented that it was interesting that she took criticism of "Rhodes" so personally. You have to be a pretty sick person to troll, and do it in a genealogy newsgroup no less. *And* pretend to be three different people at the same time. Sad. Megan I seriously don't understand what the payoff is. Other than the attention, possibly. Sad, indeed. -L. |

Other than the attention, possibly. Sad, indeed. There doesn't have to be a payoff. Perhaps it is a way to blow off steam, so to speak. A woman I worked with for a few years used to treat her staff like ****, and management wouldn't take it seriously because she got her work done. I know of her personal life because she told me some, and a few others knew about her emotionally-abusive husband, and her toddler who literally ran her life. She'd come to work and "control" things because she had no control in her home life. She was a miserable woman. She was fired a couple of weeks ago Good God - did y'all throw a party? when one of her staff got fed up and went to have a heart-to-heart with the president of the company (who's PC's he was entrusted to; at the office, his home and his beach house PCs. They had a relationship that no one really knew about. lol). There are all sorts of ways to "blow off steam" and maybe Usenet is the way some do it. Yes, sad. But making up aliases and signing people up for porn? That's much more than blowing off steam. That's borderline psychotic. When the line between Usenet and RL is crossed, there's something seriously wrong. I can't imagine getting that worked up about someone that I had to run off to sign them up for porn. I just laughed thinking about it, actually. -L. |
