No San Diego Home for Conan

The gentleman who wanted Conan was told that his home is too small.

From Monica's emails it is clear that she has nothing to go
on with regard to Conan's behavior except Philip's posts from when he first
adopted Conan.

So ... this poor boy is still in a cage, in the kennel Dan found.

Why doesn't Monica take him herself, if she is such an infallible and
persnickety judge of what is best for Conan?

Is this what she considers a good protocol for helping the world's
homeless animals? Screwing up someone else's plan to adopt a cat so
she can hold it in a ****en KENNEL waiting for a home that meets her
arbitrary standards???

Gah. I got so confused over exactly what happened with Conan I have no
idea what actually transpired.
But let me get this straight. He was dumped at the shelter by persons
unknown. Then adopted by Phillip. Then dumped back at the shelter. Then
rescued by "Monica". Taken to a kennel. Then adopted to some dude with
a small house. Now he's dumped back at the kennel?
That poor cat. He must be so confused. I really hope he rises above all
that confusion without developing bad personalty issues.

Close, but you have one extra dump in there.

He was at the shelter originally as a stray. He was adopted by Philip,
He was taken back a week or so later. Then he was taken out by Monica's
group, and there he remains. Sources here think he was put in a kennel
until they could find a home for him.

Oh boy, his home was too small? If it's not too small for a human, I
find it hard to believe it's too small for a cat.

Cats make good use of space -- especially up and down. Give them a cat
tree and they are in heaven.

This is starting to make me nervous.

and I have 3 cats crammed in here. They seem to have plenty of room.
At one time I lived in a 550 sq. ft. apt. with 2 cats and they were
very happy. They had windows and a cat tree to jump in. I can't
believe this guy's house is smaller than that. His house has got to be
bigger than a cage.

If Monica allowed Mary's friend in San Diego to take the cat, then
Mary would acquire some of the credit for the "rescue." Monica ain't
gonna let that happen, chicky! This is a two-bit ****ing contest and
all the pious cat-saving rhetoric in the world can't disguise it as

Yes, exactly how big a home does he need? A mansion?

Honestly, we had 3 people all wanting him, all options when Mary was
working on the adoption. Now, with Monica in charge, all 3 have been
refused and Conan has no home yet.

Are the standards too high?
Were we all rejected because of politics in this group?
Does Conan even exist?

I am extremely worried, and I at this point, I find it hard to believe
anything.

I agree with Rhonda, if a home is big enough for a person, then it's big
enough for a cat. Especially one cat. Certainly it's bigger than a cage.
I'm starting to feel a little jerked around here.
