Missing Cat Comes Home After 18 Years Away
POSTED: 8:21 am EDT August 10, 2004

SELKIRK, Manitoba -- Canadian Leslie Dumas had given up hope of ever getting
her cat back. After all, Seagull disappeared 18 years ago.

But last Wednesday the Winnipeg Human Society called her father saying the
cat had been identified by a tattoo in its ear.

Dumas said she has no idea how Seagull survived all these years. She figures
he must have found a home for most of that time, before hitting the skids
again recently.

Dumas said the cat disappeared in 1986, after her home was destroyed by fire
and they were living with her boyfriend's mother.

Of course, Seagull is up in years now. He's 20 years old and blind with
cataracts, but Dumas said she'll baby him until he gets his strength back.

AWWWWW! I wonder if Seagull recognized his original catslave.

That is simply incredible. We talk of devoted petslaves, but this clearly shows
the devotion of an animal friend, to hang about for so long until meeting his
first two-leg again. I've always thought that cats know things that we two-legs
don't, and this goes to prove it. May they be happy!

Blessed be,
Baha
