I found that a little bizarre on her part -- the implication that cats
are one way and dogs are another. Each has a personality, and some cats
are dog-like, while some dogs are cat-like. She's not doing animals any
favours by dividing them into camps.

Hmmm.

The word "fatuous" was coined to describe this kind of thinking,
Diane. I think you understand its nuances, being as how you have an
undergraduate degree in English from an unnamed university. It means
facile stupidity, sloppy thinking on the part of someone who could do
better with a bit of reflection.

Dogs and cats are already divided into "camps" because they belong to
separate, unrelated species. It is not the doing of a woman in
Houston, as much as you may yearn for a fresh angle from which to
disparage her.

Tweaker is an extreme puppycat. One thing about him and other cats
like him though... they really need to stay indoors, even more than
other cats. I think Tweaker knows this, because he doesn't really try
to go outside unless I'm there to stop him.

He walked straight up to my tenants' pit bull when they first me, and
he responds to all dogs that way.

The biggest danger here is raptors. On this island, all the ferals
are black... natural selection at work.

I'm really glad you keep him in. He is a dollbaby.

Yeah. He's all I have left now. And he is without a doubt the most
good-natured cat I have ever known. He's extroverted and loves to
meet new people and dogs. I am planning a trip to AZ/NM sometime in
April, and I look forward to taking him along. Presumably I can fly
with him as a carry-on item. He'll love it, especially if people take
an interest in him.
