"Tom Smith" wrote in message om... http://go.jitbot.com/croc_hunter Watch this video clip of the crocodile hunter (aka Steve Irwin) feeds crocodile with his baby on one hand. After feeding the croc, he's like playing barbie and ken right in from the croc.! This is outrageous! I can't bare this! If you think Michael Jackson is bad..this is 10 times worse! Tommy |

I never cared for that croc hunter and never could understand how he could
be given so much air time. How much of that can any one person watch? He is on constantly. The ones who will be impressed with his stupid baby act will be immature kids or adults, macho wannabes. Hopefully they won't try to emulate it. A wild animal is just that, wild. -- Barb I can only please one person a day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either. |

I never cared for that croc hunter and never could understand how he could
be given so much air time. He is probably one of the most irritating people on TV. His constant super enthusiasm has to be either phoney or drug induced. What we forget when we see him escape from the fangs of a poisionous snake, or the jaws of an enraged croc is that the animal really didn't charge him at all, but charged the cameraman who we never see. It's the cameraman who has the most dangerous job. I just hope he gets some good pictures when the giant croc finally gets to eat Baby Bob. |

Linda E" wrote: Imo.... he can't have it both ways... play up the imminent danger angle to boost his prowess and then say it's safe enough for a baby to be near at feeding time..... As Irwin explained, it's a matter of "perceived danger". He makes his stunts look a lot more dangerous than they really are. That's his showmanship and why he's popular. Yes, he shouldn't have done it in front of a rolling camera, as he admitted, because it does point out that a lot of the situations he places himself in for his tv programs are made to appear much riskier than they really are. It appeared to me that he handled the stunt quite expertly--at all times he kept himself between the croc and the baby, and he kept a constant eye on what the croc was doing. His daughter has made it age five now without being nipped by a crocodile, so I assume Irwin knows a bit about protecting his kids from the wild animals in his zoo. I'm sure the kid was safe.... he's just more the fraud now....... |
