That's surprising since it seemed like a lot of the Humane Societies
euthanized and did not have a cat room which allowed free roaming. I wish
the one here was no-kill and free roaming. Of course, the Humane Society
here is networked with other shelters here that are no-kill and has a
program in place to to try and get cats to them to make space for more.

I've noticed you refer to "Humane Societies" as if they are *not* no-kill. Many
of them are. "Humane Society" is just a name...not necessarily affiliated with
anything or sharing any policies.. Some are very good, some are not. Just
depends on the people running it, and the specific situation. The only ones
here who *don't** euthanize rarely ever accept incoming animals. Killing
animals is sad, but so is turning them away.
