Default Miranda is one year old + bad news

Miranda was born one year ago today. We haven't partied today, because
Frank spent the day at TED's getting fluids. TED tried to convince me to
let Frank go. I think I will take her advice soon. He had lost 300 grams
since the beginning of October, over 10% of his weight.

Also, when Caliban was neutered,he was tested for ringworm again, and he
still carries it, though none of the cats were showing any signs of it.
TED says Frank's weak condition may seriously compromise the treatment,
and he might not even survive the medication.

I still want to see if the fluids perked him up any, but I may have to
consider letting him go soon. But how do you make an appointment to have
your best friend and soulmate killed?

Oh man, serious purrs on the way for Frank.

So sorry about Frank, Marina. Like you, I've hung on to some of my best
cat friends, hoping for some improvement. I've fought against the advice
of TED. Sometimes I've been able to keep my friends for quite a while
longer. I hope it is this way with you.

Love and Purrs

I'm so sorry to read this, Marina. I really hope he perks up from the
fluids and manages to have one more summer on the island before
joining Nikki at the RB. But if it doesn't happen that way, you would
not be killing him! You would be giving him the gift of release from
his old age and aches and pains.
Hugs and purrs,
