Ok, so why has my computer suddenly decided to download about 4000
RPCA articles? I have no idea which few are unread, of course.

I sometimes think computers are like women ....

You can sort the articles by date and time, can't you?? And you do know
when you've last been reading rpca.

That happens to me every now and then, when my 'puter has a fit and I
have to do a "cold boot" / reset / force it to shut down and then
restart while I've had the ng's "open". But sorting by date and time,
marking the older ones read, then threading the messages back on their
proper threads and only showing threads with unread msgs does the trick
for me.

No, and no.
