the happy squeaker!
Jasper has squeaked (thats what we call it...not quite a meow) more
tonight than he has in a week. However, he has not done much in the way of poop/pee today. I got one pee and one small poop. The good thing is that there has been no oozie tush other than once when I was away at work (none tonight at all), but I am a little concerned that he could have a backup. How long is it considered okay to go without a poop for the little guy? Also, the twitch seems to have mostly subsided...a friend mentioned it could have been from the large amount of fluids taht were being pumped through him? Dunno. I decided to have an old student of mine who is now a college freshman check in on him once during the day while we are away at work. Fortunately, I have created some great relationships with my students over the years and this is one that I had for 3 years while she was in middle school (I teach Spanish so I have the opportunity to teach the kids for multiple years in a row) and have stayed in touch with her over her high school years. She went away to school in Portland this past fall, but was not happy being so far away from home and now is back, taking classes and working. I figured...PERFECT opportunity for me to have someone I would really trust come and look in on Jasper and for her to make a few bucks doing so. She's starting Friday...and I am really looking forward to the peace of mind while I'm at work. Worrying about Jasper during the day does not make for good teaching. gnight all, Pam |

Also, the twitch seems to have mostly subsided...a friend mentioned it could have been from the large amount of fluids taht were being pumped through him? Dunno. I was reading in alt.med.veterinary that "Siamese tend to be twitchy." Honest. I did not dream this. Go Google it and see. Someone else had a twitchy Siamese inside of two weeks ago, IIRC. I decided to have an old student of mine who is now a college freshman check in on him once during the day while we are away at work. Very smart. Less worry. How long is it considered okay to go without a poop for the little guy? One poop/day is fine. Leaky butt subsiding sounds good. My cats pee approx. 3 times/day (24 hrs.), though. Also, the twitch seems to have mostly subsided...a friend mentioned it could have been from the large amount of fluids taht were being pumped through him? Dunno. Me, neither. I gave fluids to a CRF cat, but don't remember her twitching. (Haven't looked it up, either...) This is a good idea - to have a trusted person come in & check on him while you're at work. Cathy gnight all, Pam |
