Iain & Deb dumped this in
on 20 Apr 2004:

That is an awesome enclosure, Cheryl. Maybe if I show it to my DH he'll
think about building one!

It was very easy to do, and not very expensive. I got the idea from a pic
that Sherry posted a couple of years ago where her and her DH built an
enclosure for their daughter's cats. Once I moved in here, and because the
deck is so high off the ground with a sliding door underneath, it was a
perfect spot to enclose. I aquired the sliding door panel with the pet
door from someone doing some spring cleaning and getting rid of it for the
cost of a donation to our local SPCA. There are many options for
creating an opening in the house so they can go in and out at will (or when
you allow them) such as a standard pet flap in a window. I've even seen
people build tunnels from a window to the enclosure if they don't build the
enclosure connected to the house.
