Under the garbage can
Today at work I had a serious case of the runs (TMI, sorry) so I dashed out
during a slow period to go to the local drug store. When I walked in, I noticed a kitty under the garbage can by the entrance. I reached down and stuck my hand in there to give him scritches, which he eagerly accepted. Wary of my "condition", I left the cat to his own devices and ran in for medication. On my way out, I decided to further investigate the kitty situation, so I plopped down on the sidewalk in front of him and tried to coax him out. After much sweet talking and promises of not hurting him, he crawled out from under and eagerly rubbed against my hand. I was worried he may have been hit by a car or was a malnourished stray, but to my delight I found him to be quite plump and quite sweet. Deciding that he had chosen the spot as a nice snoozing place, I left him to his own devices and headed back to work. He was a very pretty white cat with tortie like markings on his back. Very sweet. Mind you, I was totally ready to stuff him in my van if he had been injured or malnourished! DH is very happy he was quite plump! Stacey |

Are you sure it was a HE??? The color marking you are describing sounds
like calico to me (white with red & black markings), and there are VERY few calico cats born male, as that particular gene is carried more by the female (not sure of all the specifics in that). And if it is a FEMALE, being 'plump' and living under the garbage can means it is probably pregnant. -- The ONE and ONLY lefthanded-pathetic-paranoid-psychotic-sarcastic-wiseass-ditzy former-blonde in Bloomington! Purrs that the kitty will find its home. |
