It's cute if you like babies I'm glad I was warned it wasn't about
cats
before I went and had a look!

Gaak!! OMG No!! 1 is enough!!! Remind me never to have IVF......

The incidince of multiple births due to IVF is incredibly small; a
woman has only a 5% greater chance of having twins compared to a
non-IVF conception, triplets and higher-order multiple births are even
more rare. By and large, the outcome of IVF is no babies at all -
70-75% of all IVF procedures produce no preganacy at all, and even
fewer procedures result in live babies.

So the assumption that multiple births - particularly high-order
multiple births - are a result of IVF is a fallacy. By and large the
high-order multiple births you read about in the media are the result
of injectable fertility medications coupled with intercourse or
interuterine insemination, and not the higher-tech assisted
reporductive techniques, such as IVF.

That's your IVF lesson for the day.

Thankyou!! That's interesting! I was aware that many, many IVF's aren't
successful, but thought that those that were often were multiple births.
Thankyou for correcting me!! ( I have a chance of twins, and so far have
avoided it

Isn't that awfully traumatic, too?

Me, I don't want to imagine labor *or* caesarian. *shudder*

yes, but less so than popping out four in a row; not to mention dangerous
for all involved
