Baby foal Patrick is dead

We don't know why yet. We just found him laying in the pasture. He was not
acting sick in the least, and his body did not appear to have been injured
in any way. He was already stiff and cold when we found him, and he had a
small amount of white foam in one nostril. Gloria will be taking him to
Columbia for an autopsy. See his pic at

I'm so sorry, that is so sad to lose him so unexpectedly. He was a beauty.
