We have a king sized bed and have found that it's not difficult to get linen
for it. We go to Spotlight mostly, or Big W. Target has a range of stuff in
king size as well. We have, however, chosen to use two queen-size doonas /
duvets / quilts rather than a king-sized one. This is because it is easier
to find cosy places for 3 cats and 2 people to sleep comfortably with 2
doonas rather than 1 (avoiding the gravity-well-kitty effect :^))

That effect is the worst! I like sharing a comforter with DH, because I then
get to mooch his body heat. But then Oscar crawls in between us on top of the
covers, and suddenly my side is exposed =/

In winter, Joel is *wonderful* to snuggle next to, because he is an
incredible heat source. In summer I dont' want him anywhere near me! That,
along with my prediliction for "swimming" whilst I sleep, my ability to
steal the blankets, his ability to steal pillows, our totally different idea
of what "warm enough" means, our mutual buzz-saw snoring, our differetn
sleep cycles (well, before Cary came along anyway) and the fact I like
critters on my bed and he doesn't means that for the sake of a good night's
sleep, we don't share the same bed or even the same bedroom.

Shmogg, thankfully, is only a bed hog. He's not real interested in the doona
or pillows. IBKFergus, however, still thinks that the bedmice shouldbe
subdued byher mighty hunting skills. Which makes hot nights remarkably
uncomfortable - I can either sleep under just a sleep and be cool, but be
regularly attacked by sharp kitten claws and teeth, or I can be safe from
the Mighty Huntress's death lunges, but die of heat exhaustion.

Remind me again why I adopted her?
