Default My new Pooch peed in my cat's face!

Last month a tatterdemalion puppy showed up. Poor thing had been
starved and abused. I fed him and he was so grateful although he
cowered anticipating to be hit..

When Katastrophy, my cat, checked the dog out she crawled to within a
few inches of the sitting dog. The dog got excited and peed right in
the cat's face! I had hoped they would make friends but now I question
that for I noticed Katastrophy building an elaborate gallows in the
back yard! I am dog ignorant.....is this peeing natural or should I
have a Vet examine him?

Now the collie mix has become a beautiful dog.

The cat wonders why I would take in a "Lower Life Form".

Cheerio to all,

Leroy

PS: Always take your cat to a Vet who is also a taxidermist....either
way you get your cat back!

I'm not a dog person, either, but I think fearful dogs tend
to pee when they are frightened - especially the more
nervous breeds (frightened humans do, too, I'm told). I've
known a lot of cocker spaniels who piddled on the carpet
whenever they were allowed to greet visitors at the door -
not frightened, just over-excited.

You are right about that. When my son was 10 years old, he was in the
hospital for a week recovering from an appendix operation. I brought his
dirty clothes home every night and let Rex smell them so he would know he
was still around. The day my son came home, I had Rex tied to the fence
so he would not jump on my son. No danger! Rex got so excited, he stood
transfixed and really let go a stream while he was shaking all
over. MLB
