Default how much does your cat pee in a day?

Ringo is peeing once a day. It's a good sized pee, but is that enough? He's
drinking, he's eating, he seems fine except for the damn sneezing, but I
can't recall whether he peed more when his person was home, or if he's
stressed and not peeing as much. He does seem to be sleeping more, but I'm
not even that sure of that, since we keep very different schedules!

Thanks,

Marjorie

As long as he is eating and drinking ok, I wouldn't worry. If he has
just started sneezing and sneezes a lot in succession, I'd get him
checked for a foreign body in his nasal canal. other than that, it
could be a seasonal allergy.

I agree. You might want to get that sneezing checked out now, it's been
going on for a bit.
I wouldn't worry about the peeing though. Some cats just pee once a day.
If you are concerned you could try to up his water consumption by leaving
various bowls of water around the house.

My cat Tiger (female, 15 years old) has peed once and ONLY once a day for as
long as I've had her (she was 1 1/2 when we got her). She absolutely will
not go more than once a day. She'd hold it in longer, but I put her in the
box every night. We just finished our routing a minute ago. All of the
vets she's seen didn't seem concerned. She always eats & drinks well. I
use clumping litter, and when Tiger goes it foten doesn't fit on the scoop.
A part breaks off and falls back in the box. In volume, it's probably about
the same as my other cat (Otto, 6 years old) who goes 3/4 times a day.

I have to laugh at this. You can't even imagine how many bowls of water we
have in this house. Every bathroom (5) has a bowl on the floor. That's three
upstairs, two downstairs. We have one on the front porch (screened in) and
another one on the back porch in case he's outside. Then we have a fountain
with running water that he likes in the hallway. This cat, if he wanted,
could explode drinking the water provided for him daily. We change
EVERYTHING at least twice a day, with some of the bowls in more frequently
used bathrooms changed every time someone visits the facilities. This cat is
so damn spoiled it's insane.

The sneezing seems to be abating at long last. He's coughing a tiny bit, but
again, I'm guessing it's something like dust particles that's annoying him.
In the meantime, he's discovered I'm not the axe murderer he assumed I was
and actually volunteered to sit in my lap this morning. That's a first. I
guess he's figured his person isn't coming back anytime soon, poor thing.

That's good that the sneezing is subsiding. Maybe he finally worked out
whatever was up there.
My parents said when I went away to college (for my first semester, came
back home after that) Dash would camp out in front of my bedroom and just
sit there in the hall, or go to the back door and holler. She drove them
crazy!
