Well, not actually. But Pippin is starting to show signs of the
transformation I had hoped for with the passing of his tormentor, my
dear Fizz.

Last night he stayed inside all night (ok, in part because of the cold
and rain), and he actually spent half the night on our bed, which he has
not done in years. He is also playing more and has been requesting more
skritches.

Mithu has claimed the keeping-me-company-while-watching-TV duty at
night. He is not a lap cat, but does smuch up next to me and allows
belly rubbing, which Fizz never enjoyed.

I feel a little lighter today.

Thanks to all of you for your purrs, hugs and prayers. I am looking
forward to reaching the fond memories without (too much) pain phase.

Aww, they are sweet. So nice to hear that Pippin and Mithu are helping
you. Isn't it a huge comfort to have them just be there. I know Frank
and Miranda helped me enormously when Nikki passed away.

Patience, and be good to yourself. Just waiting it out the best way
you can sometimes is all you can do.

I'm glad your cats are coming out of their shell. I've always thought Mithu
was/is so gorgeous.
