Compartments and fire.
Yes, although at the time I thought it was just a false alarm or a stove
fire in a distant apartment. Every apartment here has a thick concrete wall around it to provide sound insulation and prevent a fire from spreading, then the fire dept is quick to arrive as well. So we're pretty safe. On Monday 15 October 2007 12:45, Granby wrote: Oh, that must have been a panicy time for all. When they get frightened, there is just no catching them, Piglet is like that. If that will work for you. From what kitties and humans are saying I
think it might be good to have the carriers down all the time so they all think of them as comfortable places. Ryan goes into a box or a bag or a carrier the moment it is put on the floor and he was the first into the carrier today. Diana had to be put in and objected at first, but then trusted my judgement. Cinnamon was freaked and wouldn't let me near him. He didn't come out of hiding for a good 5 hours after, and then only at supper time. Ryan needed reassuring and Cinnamon wanted a good bit of attention at supper as well. It's hard to tell with Diana, because she's always on top of me anyway. So I'll be putting their food in the carriers for them and maybe a bit of nip in a day or two. I'll try to make those places of safety for them so they will rush to them any time they are frightened and that will simplify evecuation,... hopefully we'll never need it. Snowflake and Chappy I'd want in the pillowcases. Fred, we all hope yuou will never need it again. I at least once a day put
treats in the big dog cage for the three cats. They run in to get them and I shut the door while they eat. Then, I let them out and often they stay and lay down on the pillows in there. Am just getting them used to the suitcase on wheels and so far, they will run there for a treat. I figure that in the long run, that would be quicker to move than a cage. They won't sufficate for a few minutes if I had to close it and, harness and leashes are always nearby to grab. "Fred Williams" wrote in message ... If that will work for you.
