Chapter One: Oz and Voodoo - It all started in 1995, when my Sammy

to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge. *She was full of cancer. :-(

Shortly after that, Sammy sent Unca Graeme and I to see two 9 week

complex when she was pregnant. *The nice people in one of the
businesses took her in and she had three kittens, one of which was
adopted by someone that worked there. *We decided to take them home
with us, and they became Oz and Voodoo.

Oz and Voodoo will be 13 on October 14th of this year. *Two years ago
this past January, Oz stopped eating for some unknown reason. *Ted
ran
some tests (which all came back normal), and was at a loss at to what
was wrong with him. *He suggested it might be a slow-growing tumour,
but couldn't feel anything.

For four months, I force-fed Oz, syringed water mixed with pedialyte
into him, and subqued him once or twice a day as was necessary. *Then
one day, much to my relief, he started eating on his own again. *We
never did find out why he stopped eating. *Almost two and a half
years
later, Oz, although beginning to show signs of ageing, is back to his
normal self.

Recently, Voodoo stopped eating, and was acting very lethargic.
After
a round of tests, Ted told me he suspects cancer, although we didn't
opt for having an ultrasound done. *Voodoo has finished his meds, and
is being weaned off Prednisone, and is doing very well. *He's even
begging for people food at dinnertime, which is a very good sign.- Hide quoted text -
